ADSCO Goes National! …7th among 52 Competitors Nationwide!
Ivy Charett Q. Madrista, the ADSCOnian Voice scribe, won 7th Place in Sports Writing Filipino, Secondary Level during the CY 2010 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC), Tagum City, February 22-26, 2010. Among the 52 contestants from across the country, she was declared as one of the best sports writers.
This young fourth year A student of Agusan Del Sur College (ADSCO) had teary eyes when her name was called as one of the winners of the said event during the awarding ceremony at St. Mary’s College, Tagum City, February 25, 2010.
“Thank God,” said Madrista when she was about to receive the award. Her winning the national contest gave honor and pride to all ADSCOnians and to the entire ADSCO community as well.
“Her being prayerful and humble made herĀ win the contest,” said Mr. Wendel C. Federicos, School Paper Adviser of The ADSCOnian Voice when asked about Madrista’s secrets in winning the contest. “I hope that we can maintain our status in journalism contests may it be in divisional, regional and even national levels,” he added.
